My dad saved this newspaper clipping from March 10, 1984. I thought it was so interesting to see "Jobless rate dips to 7.8%." The unemployment rate right now is 8 percent--not so different from then. That's a long ways away from 25 percent, which was the rate during the Great Depression. Where will things be in twenty-five years, the year 2034? Yeesh, I could be a GRANDMA by then!
