Change of Heart

The other day while in the car, this song came on . . .

and not only did I not change the station, I turned it up.

Kevin was shocked.

I knew it was inevitable that I would start liking her when my nieces were singing her songs and idolizing her. Heck, one of them even told me that I look like her. Yes, she said that I have "tangly hair, like Taylor Swift." (I'm sure she was remembering the first half of that video where it's crazy and unkempt, not the normal well-coiffed Taylor Swift that we're all familiar with.)

I'm still not ok with pretty girls being put in glasses for their "ugly" phase, and then suddenly no glasses = pretty. Whatever.

I totally agree! But I do like the song. Hadn't seen the video before... kindof liked it, but she should have worn her glasses to the dance!

Her glasses were way over the top; no way would she wear that style of glasses. But you're right, she should either not have had glasses when she was nerdy or kept glasses for the dance.

Amy--thanks for welcoming me. Sorry to let you down. I won't ever say that I like her and Coldplay in the same sentence. Oops.

I just noticed that the brunette drama girlfriend is also Taylor Swift (I think) with a wig or something on. Funny. I also used to not be a fan, and Dave was, but now I like her :)

wow I had no idea there were so many anti-taylors out there! I have always loved her. But I'd never seen this video either. Very cute, although yes, the glasses were overkill, and she still had makeup on under them and therefore was obviously still pretty. Even without makeup its hard to make her look ugly but we'll just go with it. Glad you've converted :o)

Since Lainey is such a huge Taylor Swift fan, I have spent plenty of time listening to her songs on the radio! She's not so bad. :)

Dogs are totally worth it though. Their cuteness and loyalty definitely make up for their destructiveness.

I know, it's a lot of flour, huh?! I bought the same size bag the end of last summer and am already out (or close to it). I have the best dough recipe that makes tons of different things like rolls, breads, buns, dessert braids, etc. It's so easy and so yummy, so I had to get me some more flour. By the way, I still think about the delicious chocolate chip banana bread you made us for Christmas. It was so good and I don't think I ever told you that. So, so yummy!

My kids are big Taylor fans - probably her biggest. Rachel loves all of her songs and videos but one of her new favorites is Merry Swiftmas by Evan Taubenfield (or something like that). If you haven't seen it, Youtube it- it is good for a laugh. I especially like the part where he says "I've been good all year" and kinda shakes his hand - my Taylor does that exact thing.
